STUDENT AND NGO SAFARIS IN KENYA

Students & NGO Safaris in Kenya

Our student and school trips offer valuable learning experiences and lots of fun through various learning activities. In Kenya, education tourism or educational safaris refers to 'any tour program in which participants travel to a location as a group with the primary purpose of engaging in a learning experience directly related to the location'. It is comprised of several sub-learning types including ecotourism, heritage tourism, cultural tourism, agro-tourism, and student / study exchanges between educational institutions. The main objective of this eco-safari is to expose students to the beauty of Africa - the adventure, the cultures, the diverse ecosystems and to give them an opportunity to be happy with only a few of the comforts of the normal western living.
By being involved in this particular trip, the students and the NGO staffs will not only view the people and lifestyles of one of the most vibrant countries in Africa, they will also have the chance to view some of the most endangered ecosystems in the world and learn about measures taken by the authorities to contain this trend. This trip is a true blend of people and nature.

One of the 14 Days Student and NGO Safari Itinerary- Minimum 5 people

Fourteen Falls

Fourteen Falls is located in Thika about 65 Kilometers North East of Nairobi off Thika-Garissa Road turning at Makutano junction. Fourteen Falls derives the name from their 14 distinct waterfalls on the broad section of the famous Athi River.
Once at fourteen falls, a local guide will lead you down a rocky path to the near side base of the falls where you get a boat for crossing the river. The experienced boat guides use a long pole, guiding the boat on a leisurely ride downstream, back upstream and across the river to a rocky bank on the far side. The view of the falls from the boat is extraordinary!
You may spend a couple of hours strolling around the rocks at the base of the Falls and enjoy the fresh air, breathtaking view and local flora. The base of the Falls is characterized by large boulders and the powerful sound of rushing water as it cascades down the 25-foot drop.
A fine spray hangs in the air and keeps everything cool. There are lots of birds. The guides also entertain visitors by performing jumps (they call it 'diving') from the top of the falls to the plunge pool below.
